This is what Golf needs more of to be entertaining…
Written by Aaron on June 1, 2010 – 11:23 am -
A nice Saturday afternoon of golfing went terribly wrong in pleasant Provo, Utah. Brice Williams & John Black had just finished up 18 holes at the, East Bay Golf Course, then tried jumping back onto hole 10 and got into an altrecation with another group about “playing through” something Williams and Black were notorious for. Black was also known for having a great hair-do and Williams for his huge ears….I mean seriously, look at those things! It may have been the hair and those dumbo ears, or it may have been a result of their jumping back onto the course that caused the altrecation. But, whatever it was that started the disagreement didn’t end up pretty. The 41 year old victim was eventually struck over the back of the head with Williams driver, the head of the club broke off and Williams proceeded to stab the man with the shattered club. Both Williams and Black are in jail and most likely are 2 of the hardest criminals in the Provo jail.
This just is waiting for a TV show including some PGA outcasts and WWE’s Vince McMahon. Maybe we could create charecters like Vijay Singh committing terrosit acts, Tiger Woods the pimp and Phil Mickelson as the new, Earthquake.

At Least I’m Not Michael Crabtree
Written by Brett on October 15, 2009 – 10:20 am -
My holdout is officially over. I’m back on this site now, and if Aaron keeps posting the Naked Gun videos, I’ll be on the payroll. I’ll try and get the twitter feed up and running, as well as getting the facebook page more active. And with the NBA season about to get going, I’ll get some divisional previews and predictions up. If you’ve got any suggestions on what you want to read about (excluding soccer and Nascar) let us know and we will get to it.

Phil needs to lay off the burgers..
Written by Aaron on March 15, 2009 – 10:34 am -
On Saturday after his third round, Phil Mickelson was taken to Baptist Health Urgent Care, suffering heat exhaustion and dehydration. At the health center he was given IV fluids for more than 2 hours. I think i can relate to Phil, after walking around the Santa Ana swap meet under the scolding sun, i was getting a little shaky and feeling the effects of my day walking around. Honestly though, this is just ridiculous. The guy walks around throughout the day takes a few hacks and has some dude carrying his gear and he needs an IV? Sounds like Phil needs to undertake a new workout regime where he does more than just walk around and possibly a diet that doesn’t include burgers.
The good thing is that Phil acknowledged that he was feeling “somewhat better” today, and should be okay for his round. Mickelson is tied for the lead at Doral at 16 under and is set for the final round of the WGC-CA Championship with co-leader Nick Watney.

Down Goes Tiger
Written by Brett on February 26, 2009 – 7:55 pm -The comeback is over. Tiger got ousted by Tim Clark in the second round. And after Vijay Singh went down, there was no #1 seeds left in this thing. He didn’t go quietly though, pitching in from the bunker on the 14th to win the hole and give him a chance. It didn’t last long though, he bounced his next tee shot off the cart path and into the desert. It went OB Wan Kanobe and
so did his chance to win in his return. But at least he has this house to go home to.
Phil tried to lose again and missed two straight four foot putts and almost lost another 4 hole lead. And after my boy Anthony Kim got beat, I have to choose another favorite. Since Phil is bound to snap his putter by the end of the week, I am going to go with Camilo Villegas.

Somebody Get Phil a Diaper
Written by Brett on February 25, 2009 – 5:10 pm -
Day one is in the books at the Accenture Match Play. Hefty was back at it again after his win last week. Last week he gave up a five shot lead in the final round and had to scramble all over the course to pick up a win. This week it was more of the same. He was four up with five holes to play and manage to wet himself again and send it into extra holes. Come on Phil, hold a lead once in a while. Put the ball in the fairway and the middle of the green, make a few pars and move one. He is the number two player in the world that has no chance against the number one in the world.

Lance Armstrong Is Back…. So is Syringe Man!!
Written by Aaron on February 22, 2009 – 10:52 pm -So Lance Armstrong made his return to competitive cycling this week to compete in the Amgen Tour Of California. Riding with his teammates to prepare for the Tour De France. The week didn’t start off so good as Lance had his very expensive racing bike swiped. Throughout the race he received loud ovations from monstrous crowds who turned out to watch him pedal the vast terrain of California. On Sunday while riding through the mountainous range he came across a very precarious individual who wanted to make a point…. Seven Tour De France wins is pretty cool, Beating Cancer is also pretty cool, but using steroids or some form of performance enhancing drugs to win isn’t cool. Take a look at the pictures courtesy of www.faniq.com

Phil “Hefty” Mickelson, Lookout….
Written by Brett on February 19, 2009 – 6:15 pm -
Lookout Hefty, you are no longer the best player playing golf anymore. You can go back to having the nicest set of man boobs on tour. Tiger Woods is coming back next week and that is officially the start of the real PGA season. Sure there have been a few tournaments, but does anyone really care unless Tiger is entered? Hefty must have seen the news and decided this is his last chance to pick up a win. He fired a bogey free 63 in his first round this week. But if anyone can blow a lead, it is that guy. He has plenty of drives left to hit in the gallery or in the trash can. Keep that stupid smile on your face after you let another tournament slip away, and get ready to be second best again.

Tuesday Night Fights….
Written by Aaron on February 18, 2009 – 8:38 am -Tuesday night in Alabama at a local 5A Boys State Basketball Playoff game between Montgomery’s G.W. Carver High School & Valley High School the following ensued after a hard foul in the 4th Quarter. If you thought Zach Randolph sucker punching Lou Amundson was bad, this is much, much worse. Not for the faint of heart – Watch at your own discretion.

My First and Last Soccer Post
Written by Brett on January 31, 2009 – 9:09 pm -After a subtle request saying soccer is a sport, I decided to defend myself. Here are a few reasons why you won’t see anything soccer related from me.
First of all, it is basically hockey on grass with a bigger field and minus the fighting. The bigger field really helps slow the scoring down and leads to half the team standing around while the other half runs around for 90 minutes hoping the other team scores on themselves. If I wanted to watch 90 minutes of running around, I could head down to Gold’s Gym and watch some treadmill action.
I also can’t really find a team to follow. There is way too many leagues to keep track of and the talent is so spread around, it is worse than college basketball. Throw in the occasional player getting “loaned” to another team, and you would have better luck tracking the roster of a minor league baseball team.
I watched a little World Cup back in the day and realized another reason I hate soccer. It looked like I was watching rag dolls play. If someone came within a few feet of you, take a dive. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t get touched or the replay would make you look like a fool, go down and go down like you were shot down from the stands. It’s the same reason I hate pretty much every European NBA player. They grew up watching “athletes” take a dive, they are bringing it to the sport I actually love. If you can’t score a goal straight up, don’t flop around hoping the ref will bail you out.
